You wanna know why?

The Bachelorette.

My crazy obsession with the show started not too terribly long ago when Breigh made me watch clips of a previous season. It just so happened that Brad's (2nd) season had just started, and was probably only 3 or so episodes in. So, I spent a day catching up on Hulu and then watching faithfully every Monday night after that. I even made Blake watch the finale and then ran to get ice cream between the finale and the After the Final Rose Ceremony.

Since then, Ashley has been the Bachelorette, Ben was the Bachelor (worst season e v e r) and now Emily, America's sweetheart, is the new Bachelorette. I am SO stoked.
I'm not one for reality tv, but this is seriously my guilty pleasure.

Since Ashley S. was booted off on Bachelor Brad's season, she's been running the blog Say No To Cosmo, where she recaps every episode and writes about other dating related things (she's been my favorite contestant ever, I just love her!) She provided this awesome bracket to fill out for the upcoming season... I have mine filled out, do you?!
I am *always* guilty of looking up Reality Steve's blogs... and I found out who the final 4 are... and only two of my guys are correct! But oh well, I'm keeping the same bracket. It'll be fun to see how well I did on the other weeks!
Anyways... I just wanted to fill you on Ashley's blog! Let me know if you fill out a bracket! Maybe I'll share mine next week!

day 11: favorite tv shows.

As of lately, The Bachelor is like crack to me. I have to watch it. I seriously caught up on this entire season in like 2 days because I watched 1 episode and got mega addicted. Its so ridiculous, I love it.
Other shows I watch on a semi regular basis: The Office, Parks and Recreation, Glee.
Netflix is really good for me; I can watch just about any tv show that's been cancelled in the past few years. One of my recent favorites is L.A. Ink. Over the summer, I watched all 7 seasons of Nip Tuck. I'll tackle Lost eventually, I just don't feel like my brain is up to it yet.

Last night was so much fun! I was way tired, seeing as I'm usually in bed at like 7:30, and Smith Westerns didn't play until close to midnight (and then even after that, we had to drive back home. blah). But the music was good so I can't complain.

How tired do I look? HA. I was exhausted.

I just did some MAJOR work on my 2 To Kill a Mockingbird essays, and I feel like I'm about to pass out. So I think I will do that now.
Goodnight!

childbirth + the bachelor + the smith westerns

Monday, February 21, 2011

i only added this photo to validate this as a legit blog post. ha.
I've mentioned this before, but I am so afraid of childbirth. I love kids, I can't wait to have my own someday, but... umm... childbirth is just gross.
I remember watching the birthing video in freshman health class (as a sophomore), and I cried like a baby, and all of the freshman made fun of me. The teacher pulled me out to the hallway, and gave me the 'baby' talk. She asked me why I cried, and I said, that was disturbing." I still stick to that. She said that I would change my mind someday, and I'm just not sure if I will. I honestly cannot stand the thought. I am obviously still open to it, sense I intend on having a baby someday. I just hear so many different stories of childbirth; I hear that once you get an epidural, you don't feel a thing, and then sometimes I hear that even though you may get an epidural, its still the most painful experience. I don't know. I'm just scared.
I'm not discrediting childbirth as a beautiful experience, because I am sure it is. I will be the first to admit that I read birth stories obsessively like they're drugs, and I always cry. No matter what. I'm just scared of what my own experience will be like.

In other news, I just watched The Bachelor. I hate to admit that I love this show as much as I do, but seriously now. It is so great. And it is THE only reality tv show that I am willing to watch. So that means its awesome. I want Emily to win. She's hot. Chantel is more emotional than I am. And Ashley... why is she even on the show? I didn't know dentists were allowed to be on this show. Haha :)

Going to see The Smith Westerns tonight with the boyfriend! I'm pretty excited. :)

DEGRASSI ♥

Saturday, December 18, 2010

If you follow me on Twitter...
you know that I love Degrassi.
This has seriously been my favorite TV show since 7th grade.
ITS SO GOOD, YOU GUYS. ♥
GUYS. Jimmy got his legs back... :)
And Craig was always my favorite... including that gross coke habit and the mental breakdown. I still love you, Craig. I. Still. Love. You.
Degrassi isn't so great anymore.
I definitely prefer the old episodes.
I've recently been waaaay into the 2nd & 3rd seasons. I think Degrassi covers every issue a teenage could ever come across in their young teenage lives. Cutting, rape, piercings, friends stealing your boyfriend, even plus size modeling! This show has EVERYTHING. :)

I have a TV obsession.

Day 10: Favorite TV shows.
Weeds: I have loved this show for about a year now... I first started watching it when we got Netflix, and I was looking for a new TV show to watch. I got so addicted to it for a while, and even got my brother into it. He liked it for the "marijuana aspect," oh, and the fact that Mary Louise Parker is a "total MILF." ...yeah.
The Event: This is my newest obsession. I hate watching shows that are new to TV because I have so much trouble waiting to watch each episode a week apart. AND I hate commercials! They are the devil. But this show is so worth it. Upon occasion it can become cheesy, and it's a little too sci-fi ish for my personal taste, but it is SO addicting.
Nip/Tuck: Anyone that has been following my blog since at least mid-summer knows I love this show. This is probably the best TV show ever. No lies. It will forever be my favorite show. It is probably not something I should be watching, nor is it even suitable for television. But soooo good.
Glee: Ahh, Glee. How fantastic is this show? I know that it is definitely not for everyone. In fact, only a handful of my friends will even watch it. But I was obsessed with musicals through junior high and the first half of my high school years, so this show is perfect for the music-nerd in me. My two favorite songs they've ever done? "Like a Prayer" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart." Yuuup. Those are my favorite songs, in general. Hahaha :)
Dexter: This is also a new obsession. I'm currently half way through the first season, and I've already searched on Wikipedia who the Ice Truck Killer is (I really don't like surprises. I did this with the Carver on Nip/Tuck. Told you I don't like surprises). This show is ridiculous, and I loveee it.

Of course, I have other favorites too... Such as Degrassi (YES, Canadian teen dramas are the bomb), Teen Mom, and Say Yes to the Dress.
