Watch the Throne.

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

This was seriously the best concert I've ever been to (and the Band of Horses show I went to last October has been hard to beat...). But I've been wanting to see Kanye since I first saw the video for Gold Digger on VH1 when I was 14 years old. Now, at 20, I finally got to see him! AND Jay Z! Life is good.

The show was absolutely amazing - everything I'd hoped it would be. It was just so... dramatic. Like, everything felt (I hate this word....) epic.
They performed all of the classics, and basically all of Watch the Throne (with the exception of my favorite, How I Love You). And on top of all of that, they did N****s in Paris 4 times in a row. Seriously, best night ever. Ever.
And of course, I got a t-shirt. Le sigh. #ilovekanye

(Many thanks to whoever it was who's already uploaded their videos from last night)

And I fell asleep half way through.
Boy, he is amazing.

-writing a children's story about an owl and a sparrow
-watching lots of game shows
-hanging out in pajamas (duh, i do every monday. haha)
-taking lots of tylenol because cramps are no bueno
-mayyybe going to work out.

Today is going to be a good day.
I hope so, at least.
Yesterday, Blake and I listened to all of our new records and watched The Omen.

I Heart Kanye West.

Thursday, December 2, 2010

I'm sorry, but I love Kanye more than life itself, I'm pretty sure.
He is a musical genius and I've had his new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy on repeat for the past week (I'm proud to report that I can do bits & pieces of each song, but its the Haley-super-white versions).
I am going to be very bold right now: Kanye West is my hero.
I'm going to be extremely bold, yet again: I'm a huge fan of what he did to Taylor Swift.
Now - before you go unfollowing me and all that jazz..
Beyonce SO had the best video of all time! I'm not even joking. Her video for Single Ladies was so simple - but amazing. Can you dance like Beyonce? Probably not. I know I can't - Breigh and I tried one time. Taylor Swift's video was STUPID.. her music is.. yuck. And when Kanye got up on that stage and rightfully ruined Taylor's "moment" ... he was just saying what every single one of us were thinking. Just saying. :)
Anyways, this was not the direction I intended to go..
Back to my love for Kanye:

Just look - he's so adorable!
THIS IS AMAZING:
spare 35 minutes and watch this sucker. You'll love it. :)

I just really love this man.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 14: a picture of something you love.
Lets seeeee. I have quite a few favorite pictures! But I'll narrow it down to a few..
this is just about the cutest picture of my life. This was taken back in March at Erin's birthday party. We all had the greatest time, and it was fun just hanging out and decorating cupcakes, and taking photos with Erin & Will. :) I miss these girls though.. I haven't seen them in nearly 8 months! (p.s. Jamie & Janel - I'm coming to St. Louis like, asap, I promiseeee!)
Best friend Breighann & I took this yesterday. She came over for a few hours and we hung out and played on our macs and talked and listened to Beyonce. This is what we do when we're together. :)

30 Days of Truth: Day 3: Something you need to forgive yourself for.
There are a ton of "regrets" that I have in my life. A ton. Too many.
But I think in a general sense, I just need to forgive myself for even having regrets in the first place. We only live once, and we don't have the time to worry about the times we messed up and what we wish we could do over. These are things I worry about quite often - what could I have done to prevent this from happening? What could I have done differently? Its so pointless to worry about this. All of my regrets are in God's Hands, not my own. So I need to learn to get over this and just live life. When I mess up, its all up to God, not me.

DUDE. You NEED to watch Kanye's short film, 'Runaway.' I know that normal people don't have 35 minutes to spend watching an extra long rap video, but for real. It is absolutely beautiful. He is a genius. Even if people don't like him, he's brilliant. The colors, the story, the music, it's all amazing.
(Oh! And this is the edited version for you! Enjoy!) :))
Loveyou!
Have a grrreat Sunday:)

Haley
